Cornwall watercolour

Following our recent excursion to the north coast of Cornwall some new work is in progress, beginning, for me, with this watercolour. It is the first watercolour that I have painted for some time and I really enjoyed doing it. To start with I only intended to do a quick compositional sketch but,

as I got into it, it became somewhat more involved.

The intention is to do it in oils and will be a sequel to a painting I did five or six years ago from the same spot "Big Cliff, Small Boat" which disappeared off to a new home some time ago. You might also notice the sketch which featured in my previous post.
